Named Inventors on EMG Electrode Patent
Columbus, Ohio ---- The Design Factory, Inc.
announced today that B. Russell Alexander, P.E. and
Kathryn E. Alexander, P.E., Vice President
have been named inventors on U.S. Patent 6,745,062 EMG Electrode Apparatus
and Positioning System.
"This patent is the result of more than a year and a half
of development work for our client," said Russ Alexander, President of The
Design Factory, Inc. "Kathy led our efforts to develop the device from
the initial concept model to pilot production. She utilized advanced
plastics materials and manufacturing processes to develop the design into a
medical disposable that could be manufactured for 1/100 of the original
cost." "A critical feature of the whole system was the custom
high-cycle, zero-insertion force connector that Russ designed to connect the
electrodes to the signal processing equipment," said Kathy Alexander, Vice
President.
