The Design Factory, Inc. congratulates the Whetstone High School Robotics Team “Team Lugnut” for their outstanding performance at the FIRST Robotics Pittsburgh Regional and Buckeye Regional Competitions. In early March at the Pittsburgh Regional, Team Lugnut was recognized with a special Judges Award for the excellent design and implementation of the ball-grabber end effectors or “hands” on their robot. Two weeks later in Cleveland, the team rose through the ranks to compete in the finals for a final standing of 6th out of a field of 60 robots. B. Whetstone Robot holds it's own in Cleveland. Our
congratulations to the Whetstone High School Robotics Team for placing 10th
out of a field of 63 as a first year rookie team in the First Robotics
Buckeye Regional Competition. The Design Factory, Inc. staff serve as
the engineering mentors for the team.
